Kaelo members have access to a:
- Nurse consultation
- Doctor Videomed call,
- Select list of medications.
Make sure you have added Kaelo as the patient's medical scheme in their profile on Healthforce.
To check if the patient has benefits left on their Kaelo account
1: Click "Check Kaelo benefits" This can be done from the patient profile page, or just after starting a medical scheme consultation.
2: Login to the Kaleo benefit check site.
We will be adding the login details here in a few days.
3: Click on "Service provider" in the left menu
4: Click on Verify Membership in the left menu
5: Enter the Patient's Kaelo member number into the Administration Member Number field
You will then see the patients details: This means they are a Kaelo members.
6: Click on Claims submission
You are not going to do a claim now, we are just checking if they have the benefits available for the consultation.
Then click on View Limits
This will show you if they have benefits available. The above example has 2 Acute Medication benefits available.
They could have the following benefits:
- OTC
- GP CONSULT
- NURSE CONSULT
- HRA FOR ASSESSMENTS
- ACUTE MEDICATION
If they have the benefits available, you can continue with the consultation. Once you have completed your consultation, you need to claim a benefit from the Patient's Kaelo profile.
