Are there some patients who should not receive the vaccination? Print

Before recommending the vaccine, make sure you take a comprehensive medical history.

If the patient is immunocompromised or taking immunosuppressive drugs, they cannot receive the shingles vaccine. If they have exhibited sensitivity to any of the vaccines or their ingredients before, they should be excluded from receiving those specific vaccines.
