The doctor cannot extend sick notes based on a phone call.
If the patient is still ill, they must see a doctor again to determine why the prescribed medication is not working, and whether further treatment is needed. This means the patient must visit the clinic for a new Videomed consultation. This consultation will be charged at the same rates as any other consultation.
The doctor will decide whether an extension of sick leave is needed, once they've consulted with the patient.
